China Solicits Public Comment on New Food Additives

As announced in the CFSA (China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment) Notice released on September 27, 2020 China is soliciting comments on seven new food ingredients.  The new ingredients for review include four food additives and two new varieties of enzymes from novel sources and a nutritional fortifier.  Public comments will be accepted through end of October 2020.  Earlier this year China NHC (National Health Commission) approved 53 new ingredients for use.
