No Transmission of COVID-19 through Food or Food Packaging

COVID-19 is an illness spread through airborne particles. The USDA and the FDA released a statement based on scientific information which points out that there is no credible evidence that the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is transmitted through food or food packaging. This statement quotes global information, additional analysis, for example from the Food Standards Agency in the UK, and literature reviews; all these sources come to the same conclusion that food or food packaging is not responsible for the spread of COVID-19.
