An outcome of the 5-year review of Australia’s Health Star Rating system is that the HSR calculator and style guide will be updated.  The proposed amendments include greater penalties for sugars and sodium in some product categories.  Some dairy foods have been re classified, and unsweetened flavored water products would automatically receive an HSR of 4.5 based on the update.  The amendments are available for public consultation at the web location here.
